The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone by the Lord has this been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes? ( Matt 21:42).
God is good all the time.
Nothing helps Christians better than the habit of talking to God regularly through the Holy Spirit in our hearts and heads. It is a habit that can more often keep our thinking and doings right before God and others. Part of the reason is that we can’t trust the dialogue in our heads and hearts to be always correct and trustworthy without the help of the Holy Spirit.
In the story about how Joseph's brother got rid of him, it is hard to imagine that all ten bought into the idea instantly if that conversation has not been occurring among some of them earlier. Sadly, their collective thinking led them to unthinkably sell their brother.
The attitudes and actions of the brothers flow more naturally in the human head and heart unless they are filled with the Holy Spirit, who endows the mind and hearts with good thoughts and actions.
Jesus speaks in the gospel of himself as the stone, which the builders ( Pharisees and chief priests) rejected but has become the cornerstone, a marvelous work of God before our eyes.
The conversation we have in our heads, even the ones with spouses, family, friends, and groups can become spiritually hazy, unhelpful, steered towards the wrong side of life without the influence of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, create more brief conversation times with God. Involve the Holy Spirit in your thought processes and actions to find the right words, ideas, and actions towards others.
When we are in regular dialogue with the Holy Spirit, it becomes easier for us to turn our attention on him instead of the driver who made a mistake on the road or the person who irritates us with their presence, attitudes, addictions, ingratitude, and unsolicited and nosy comments. The Holy Spirit is accessible all the time for conversation.
