Turn to me and be safe, all you end of the earth, for I am God; there is no other! By myself, I swear, uttering my just decree and my unalterable word. - Is 45:22
God is good, all the time.
Friends: Jesus said to John's disciples who came to see him on his behalf, "Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind regain their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear... the poor have the good news proclaimed to them." But what do these words mean to Christians today?
They mean that God's doors are never shut to us but open to all who want to enter them, and there is no reason to wait till later. Just remember that those who believe in Him receive power to become children of God (Cf. Jn 1:). He is there for you.
Pope Francis tells the story of a woman who came to her priest right after Mass to ask for a blessing. When the priest refused and gave a lengthy explanation about the Mass being the most effective prayer and blessings, the woman turned to another priest; she knew the power of the Mass, but she also understood what it means to be touched by the Lord personally, and she sought for that
Before sending John's disciples back to him, Jesus gave them a personal experience. They saw the healing he performed right before them so that they can provide their testimony to John. Make it a point not to allow any person or situation make you feel that God has shut his door.
As the prophet Isaiah proclaims, "Turn to me and be safe, all you ends of the earth for I am God." Jesus is the door to the heart and ears of God. In Jesus, you will find that God is there for you and your situation anytime. "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me” (Rev. 3:20).
