Seventh Week of Lent
“Jesus came over and took the bread and gave it to them, and in life manner the fish. This was now the third time Jesus was revealed to his disciples after being raised from the dead.”
John 21: 13-14
The resurrection story continues to unfold in our own daily lives. The story of the resurrection forms the essence of our faith and by remembering this through the year, we can find relief from the burden of sin as well as having a greater joy in the blessings of our everyday life. We can build a stronger relationship with Jesus by showing compassion and grace for others, just as Jesus has done for us.
Even though we continue to sin, Jesus loves us and through His love, we are transformed. In that transformation we are drawn to a deeper prayer life. Maybe Easter should become our “New” New Year’s resolution, to embrace the power of prayer by making prayer a bigger part of our daily life. Praying short prayers during the day will help keep us grounded in our faith as we establish a closer connection with God.
Happy Easter!
