God is good!
A recent study showed that 22% of American workers had $5,000 or less saved for retirement, another 5% had less than $25,000 put away, and 15% had no retirement savings at all. It seems much easier and more enjoyable to keep spending our money— purchasing whatever we want without thinking and preparing for the future.
The Christian life is no different! Christians must make plans that outlive the present time; they think of a permanent home in heaven and prepare for it.
Jesus does not want us to go through life as if we don’t need God or God is secondary to everything else. He reminds us: “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower. He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and everyone that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit.”
Jesus wants us to glorify his Father by our lives in preparation to be with him. That is why it is important to consider doing the following :
1.Plan your day to make God part of it. God shouldn’t be second, but part of it.
2.Make prayer automatic. Don’t reserve prayer for specific days and times. Turn your work and activities into prayer.
3.Think of other people. How you help others is a big part of how you maintain a relationship with God. Jesus said, whatever you do to the least of my brethren, you do unto me.
4. Look for areas to cut. Look out for areas in your life you must cut to maintain a healthy relationship with God.
5. Enjoy your life with God. Enjoy your life. Feel your blessings, and remember that everything is from God, and be thankful to him.
6.Start today. Start to revive your prayer life and maintain your relationship with God now; don’t delay it any longer.
